Dr. Fantasia received his master’s degree in business administration (IT Management) from the American Military University and his Ph.D. in Data Science from the University of North Texas. Prior to joining the ADTA faculty, Dr. Fantasia was a Lead Scientist with Booz-Allen Hamilton working as a big-data pipeline engineer and AI/MLOps developer, specializing in complex data systems.

His professional and research interests include the impacts of trauma and stress on perception and information usage, information warfare, hypergame theory, and deception theory. His deep-seated interest in the impact of trauma was sparked by his own experiences during his 12 years of active service as an Army combat medic, with deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. His service inspired his research into the effects of trauma on the development of maladaptive and addictive behaviors related to information and information processes, culminating in a notable publication on the subject.

Dr. Fantasia is also a dedicated cross-country cyclist and racquetball player, yellow belt in Shao-Lin Kung Fu, and a professional leatherworker.
