Thuan Nguyen received his Ph.D. in Information Systems, M.S. in Information Technology Management, and B.S. in Computer Science. He also received his Graduate Certificate in Data Mining and Business Intelligence offered by SAS Institute, Incorporated and The University of Texas at Dallas.
He has been teaching, doing research, and developing new courses, focusing on the artificial intelligence deep learning in the Advanced Data Analytics Department, Toulouse Graduate School, The University of North Texas (UNT) since 2017. Before joining the faculty at UNT, he taught information systems courses in Naveen Jindal School of Management (JSOM) at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) for six years. His current research focuses on big data, machine learning, deep learning, and their applications in business and science research. His research interests also include knowledge management and intellectual capital, software engineering, and new programming languages for data science.
Before starting teaching and doing research in the universities, he had nearly 20 years of work experience in software engineering, information systems, and data analytics, including designing and developing software, hardware systems in telecommunication, data communication networks, optical networks, and business information systems such as SAS and SAP.
