Mehmet Orhan received his masters and PhD degrees from Graduate School of Economics and Social Sciences at Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey. His main field of research is data analytics, both theoretical and applied. So far, he taught at business schools of SUNY Oneonta, University of Houston-Clear Lake and Valdosta State University in addition to the University of the West Indies. He has published articles in distinguished journals like Expert Systems with Applications, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Journal of Policy Modeling, and Theoretical Economics Letters in addition to book chapters published by Elsevier, McGraw-Hill and Palgrave. His theoretical research interests include HCCME estimation, robust estimation techniques, and Bayesian inference. He is interested in testing the capability of theory to handle reality with data.
