Virtually all businesses are actively engaged in enhancing their data analytics capacities. This trend has accelerated with recent advances in the applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence. Organizations are standing up new data analytics groups within and across their business verticals. There is a significant shortage of people with the experience and skills needed to manage these teams.

Managing projects across the analytics lifecycle takes strong analytics competencies as well as specialized project management skills. The Analytics Project Management Graduate Certificate helps prepare you to lead teams to successfully complete complex analytics projects. The courses making up the certificate provide leadership & executive communication skills, practice with key project management methods, an overview of Agile principles to create business value, and methods for mitigating project risk.

Certificate courses were developed in consultation with senior analytics managers from leading international companies. Courses are offered online and in-person at UNT’s Denton and Frisco campuses. New students can start in fall, spring, or summer semesters. The Analytics Project Management Graduate Certificate is a stand-alone certificate which can be stacked with an additional 18 semester credit hours toward a Master of Science in Advanced Data Analytics.
