Admissions and Planning
We're pleased that you are interested in a master's degree in Advanced Data Analytics at UNT. The steps below will help guide you through the admissions process.
Apply to the Advanced Data Analytics program
Before submitting the required documentation, please review the steps for admission to a graduate degree at the University of North Texas. Then, submit the following items or information:
- Program application
- A non-refundable $75 application fee
- Official transcripts from all colleges attended
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (cumulative or last 60 hours)
- Resume
- Statement of purpose (Fall 2025 only)
- GRE scores not required

Meet with an Academic Advisor
As you begin evaluating what the Master of Science in Advanced Data Analytics can do for you in your academic career, it is very important to communicate with an academic advisor. There are general and program specific admission requirements. The academic advisor will answer specific questions you may have about the program, and will serve as a constant point of reference for you throughout your time in the program.

Enroll in Classes
If admitted to the Advanced Data Analytics program, your academic advisor will work with you on class registration. Make sure that you have received the academic advising you need to enroll.
Some courses may require approval codes from the course instructors or other representatives before enrolling. If a course has prerequisites, do not register for that course unless you meet those prerequisites. Only graduate-level classes (5000-level courses or above) count toward a master’s degree.
