Training in data analytics is becoming increasingly important for advancement in nearly any career. The University of North Texas is pleased to offer career-enhancing certificates in data analytics to UNT students and employees of corporate and public organizations. Courses making up the certificate provide an understanding of the underlying fundamental concepts of contemporary data analytics methods, as well as experience in obtaining, wrangling and learning from big data through machine learning and deep learning tools. Courses emphasize applications of theory and tools for solving real-world business problems.
Certificates are offered at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The undergraduate certificate provides 15 hours of undergraduate course credit that can be applied to a university degree. Similarly, the graduate certificate provides 15 hours of graduate course credit that can be applied to a graduate degree. In particular, completion of the Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics would place a graduate half-way towards completing the UNT MS in Advanced Data Analytics.
Courses and Format
The Certificates in Data Analytics consist of 5 courses delivered in a convenient "hybrid" or online format, allowing working professionals and busy students to succeed through a mix of in-person class meetings and online sessions. Each course runs either over a standard 16-week (hybrid) or 8-week (online) semester. An 8-week hybrid format is also available for corporate partner cohorts.
